SADAD FAQs

SADAD Account is the new payment service from SADAD that will provide a secure electronic payment method for the client to shop online without the need for a credit card. It will serve as a system that would facilitate direct debit from the client e-commerce dedicated bank account “SADAD Account”, which ensures adequate authentication and authorization before debit or additions of accounts. It is also considered as the first step towards making the preferred payment options as digital, sophisticated, and involve innovation to enable payment via mobile phone in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The client must register using their preferred username on the registration screen. Then needs to set a password to their account and confirm account registration by entering the code so that the account will be enabled in the system.

The users can transfer funds online from their current bank account to their “SADAD Account”.

The users can complete their payments electronically through “SADAD Account” service, where the money will be deducted directly from their account and added to merchant’s account directly.

The merchant should provide the required registration documents to the chosen bank to provide the service, the bank will then complete the registration process and send it to SADAD Payment System. Next, SADAD Payment System will create the E- Store ID whereby “SADAD Account” service will be activated.

What is “SADAD Account” Online Service?

It is the new SADAD Service that enables client to initiate purchase online through the use of their
“SADAD Account” without the need for a credit card or cash.


 

How “SADAD Account” Service works?

It is a direct payment process where the payment is deducted from the client’s account directly
upon completion of the purchase, and the amount is deposited in the Merchant’s account.


 

Can I register in SADAD Account Service through the bank?

Yes you can register through the bank’s website.


 

What are the services provided by SADAD Account for clients?

The client can perform online payments using the “SADAD Account”.
The following are the services provided to the clients through their accounts:

  • The ability to query, view and download the list of transactions
  • Request a refund of a certain amount
  • Raise a complaint and follow-up
  • Raise a dispute and track the progress
  • Notifications service from “SADAD Account”

 

Can the client transfer “SADAD Account” from the one bank to another?

No.


 

Can the bank register me in “SADAD Account” Service?

Yes. The bank can register his client who has an account with bank authorization control through the bank’s website.


 

What is your username on “SADAD Account”?

It is a unique identifier username that can be entered during the registration process in “SADAD Account”, and so in any purchase the client must use the same username.


 

What is the mechanism to choose a username?

The username can be any alphanumeric character that can contain strictly alphabetic letters or a combination of letters, numbers and special characters. Only English is allowed. Only the following numbers (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0) are acceptable. Allowed special characters are ( (“@”, .”_” ,”.”


 

Can I have more than one “SADAD Account” registered at the same bank?

No.


 

Can I register using the same username in more than one bank?

No.


 

Can I register using different username at different banks?

Yes.


 

Is there any expiry date for the username?

No.


 

How can I credit my “SADAD Account”?

The client should transfer the money from their bank account to “SADAD Account”.


 

Do I have to pay any fees on my transactions using “SADAD Account”?

There are no fees to be paid while using “SADAD Account”.


 

What are the services provided by “SADAD Account” to the merchant?

The merchant can perform online payments using the “SADAD Account”.
